How to Submit Your Documents for Tax Preparation
Individual tax returns are due April 15, 2026. Clients may submit documents by mail (a tracking number is recommended), and a phone call or text notification will be provided once documents are received. Documents may also be emailed to Returns@RTincometax.com; for security purposes, please password-protect your files and black out Social Security numbers before sending. Clients who prefer a secure email link may request one by emailing Frontdesk@RTincometax.com. Documents may also be dropped off in person during regular office hours or faxed to 718-674-7900; please call the office to confirm successful fax transmission.
Refunds & Direct Deposit
Direct deposit is strongly recommended for all refunds due to increased check theft.
Please include a voided check with your tax documents to ensure accurate routing.
Federal Refunds Are Now Issued Electronically
The IRS is in the process of eliminating paper refund checks and moving to electronic refunds as the standard method of payment. Direct deposit is now the preferred and fastest way to receive your federal tax refund.
For most taxpayers, this means:
• Refunds will be sent electronically rather than by paper check
• Direct deposit into a bank account is strongly recommended
• Not providing electronic deposit information may delay your refund
Direct deposit is safer, more secure, and significantly faster than receiving a check by mail. Refunds can be deposited into checking or savings accounts and can even be split among multiple accounts.
In limited cases, exceptions may apply for taxpayers who cannot receive electronic payments, but these situations are rare and may require additional processing by the IRS.
Please be sure to include a voided check or official bank document with your tax documents so we can properly set up direct deposit for your refund and avoid any delays.
